    Bonjour, Paris!

My first impression of France was tragically flawed. It’s a sad story that begins with the fact that I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt while carrying around 100lbs worth of luggage in a land where fashion is god and English signs are nowhere to be found. Hello Paris. Of course it also didn’t help that my internal GPS had a serious malfunction and I ended up completely ruining my Notre Dame rendezvous with Alyssa; that left me in frustrated tears. I found myself siting at a cute li...

    London, England

Well, the hostel life is interesting. I keep most of my stuff in a locker, and that makes me feel safer. But I sleep with my wallet as if it were a stuffed animal…I mean, if I lost that thing it would be bad news bears for sure. Credit cards, cash, and my passport are the essential things in my life as a travler, so I have to protect those things with my life. I’m met some pretty cool people along the way so far though. There are a couple of Spanish girls who stay in my room, and I&...

    ‘Ello, London!

Well, in light of all the earthquakes, tsunamis, and radiation in Asia…I decided to skip the Tour de Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam) and hit up Europe for 2 weeks and head home. I’m not gonna lie, my heart was torn because I didn’t want to give up my volcano climbing and scuba diving, but out of respect for my parents, my boyfriend, and my future I didn’t want to risk any exposure to radiation from everything going on in Japan right now. (Drama queen right? haha.)...

  • Storytime with Cwalk (Part 2)

I will start out this blog by listing the reasons that my mother utilizes Facebook. To post incredibly long status updates that she copies out of the daily prayer quote book thing that sits by the toilet in her bathroom. To post pictures of the dog and publicly declare her birthday while posting a profile picture of the poor dog in full birthday garb with the most miserable look on her face. I mean, I know you miss me…but really? To record and post videos of her dancing with the dog to C...

  • Glass half shattered.

I’m proud to say that I’ve recently become more of a glass-half-full kinda person. For some strange reason, I’ve woken up smiling over the past few days, and it’s kinda weird…but I like it! This whole optimism thing is a good way to live, and I quite prefer it to the depressingly emo, pessimistic person I’ve been over the past few months. It’s time to start living in the moment, so forget the glass altogether. Depending on what it’s filled with, po...

  • Put your foot in my Nikes…picture you livin’ my life.

So…I’ve been such a slacker, and I’m fully aware of it. I’m kinda sick at the moment, so that sucks. I’ve felt it coming on for the past week, but of course I haven’t slowed down one bit until I came to a crashing halt yesterday morning. I literally laid in bed all day long, only getting up to answer the door when the McDonald’s delivery man knocked. And yes, I ordered a McDonald’s #1 and had it delivered to my apartment…and I ate it all. Jud...

  • These are a few of my favourite things…

Once upon a time, I asked my dear friend and roommate Taylor Mobley a profound question…”So, how do you know if you’re bipolar?” She proceeded to tweet about it and laugh hysterically until she realized I was serious…then she just laughed some more. But really, people. I feel like I’m so up and down it’s insane. You know the phrase, “Life is like a rollercoaster,” right? Well…I bring new meaning to that one. It’s like I play emoti...
